Update: COVID-19 Vaccination - March 18, 2021
March 18, 2021
There are now 4 Health Canada approved vaccines against COVID-19 and are highly efficacious and safe.
The best vaccine is the vaccine that is available to you now.
If you are 80 years old or older, receiving home care, a health care worker or an indigenous adult, you can call 1-888-385-1910 between 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. or visit http://www.vaccineto.ca to pre-register or book appointments.
Participating pharmacies in Ontario are offering the AstraZeneca vaccine to person's aged 60 - 64 only.
Please visit: https://covid-19.ontario.ca/vaccine-locations to locate a pharmacy near you. There have been recent concerns regarding the AstraZeneca vaccines and the risk of blood clots. Our recommendation, in line with Thrombosis Canada (see link below), is to proceed with the AstraZeneca vaccine if it is available to you. The risk of contracting COVID is significantly higher then the risk of clots.
Information regarding COVID 19 vaccines, pre-registration and appointment booking can also be found here:

Despite the Ontario government announcement regarding primary care receiving vaccines, we do not have vaccines in our clinic and do not have any further information when we may receive this. Therefore we are not scheduling appointments for vaccinations and we do not have a wait list. We will post updates in our "News" section regarding vaccine availability regularly.
If you have any questions about the vaccines, or need assistance accessing your vaccination please contact your doctor. The easiest way to contact us is via e-mail at appointments@broadwayfamilymd.com.
We hope you and your loved ones stay safe and healthy.
All the best,
Broadway Family Medicine
