Coronavirus COVID-19 UPDATE

We hope you and your families are doing well and staying safe. Please see our previous News post on March 16, 2020 regarding our office policies during COVID - these measures are still in place for your safety, as well as that of our staff.

To be clear, our office is responding to phone calls and emails. Our doctors are providing care virtually and offering in-person appointments when necessary, safe and appropriate. Well child visits, including vaccinations, are being provided. Management of chronic medical conditions and preventative care are ongoing - please do not defer this as we want to ensure everyone remains as healthy as possible.

"Annual physicals" are not evidence based and generally not necessary. This is not a new recommendation since the pandemic - this has been the recommendation since 2014. Please see the Choosing Wisely Canada website for more information: https://choosingwiselycanada.org/family-medicine/

As such, physicals are being deferred for the foreseeable future. However, as mentioned above preventative care does continue, and if you have any medical concerns, please contact our office to arrange a virtual appointment.

Please do not come in to the office unless you have a scheduled appointment with your doctor. All patients must be screened appropriately prior to coming in to the office.

We strongly encourage you all to continue to be vigilant with preventing the spread of COVID-19.

- Follow Public Health guidelines regarding social and physical distancing

- Wear a mask

- Practice good hand hygiene

- Stay home if you are sick, have been in contact with someone who is sick, or if you have traveled/been in contact with someone who has traveled outside of Ontario.

We continue to be thankful to all of our patients for your trust, support and understanding during these challenging times. We will continue to work together with you to ensure that all of us and our communities will get through this safely.
